About CCG Worldwide, Inc.

Crisis Consultants Group Worldwide was created to provide cost-effective crisis preparedness capability for private and public sector organizations. The offspring of his years of international public relations consulting, CCG founder, David Chard tells the story behind his creating CCG Worldwide.

"In response to Asia’s “crisis-rich” environment, I developed a successful crisis training program for our multinational clients to get their teams ready to communicate powerfully in a crisis, on a moment’s notice. This program was very well received … ..but something very important was missing.

"Watching the training participants perform under stress, I was struck by the glaring dysfunctionality of the teams. Typically it took far too long to perform simple tasks. Priorities were unclear. Vital information wasn’t shared. Promises to external stakeholders weren’t met. The list of sins and omissions on display in the crisis management team in virtually every company I trained – putting my clients at great risk – included:

  • The group had not worked together and were not aligned as a team
  • No agreed ‘norms’ for working and operating together as a team
  • Lack of a process to assess a situation and set priorities
